Ten Frames #46
Two Minutes
"Ten Frames" is a series of one-minute video/slideshow shorts on individual themes. The theme for this one is “Hats & Millinery.”
With decades of photographing the Easter Parade behind me, here is just a sample of the most amazingly bold presentations I’ve come across.

These are SO awesome! Love the jazz vibe too. You're inspiring me to pull together some of my parade photos. That's my one remaining professional job I still do. I photograph a marching band and so, I get to shoot a lot of parades. These in black and white are wonderful! By the way, first time I used the YouTube experience to watch. I usually watch embedded from Substack, but these I had to experience on the site. Much better!
Ditto, I had no knowledge of an Easter Parade, I would describe it as "Hat Day"! These portraits are amazing, well done. I image there is overwhelming color, but in black and white I think the portrait is balanced to the person and what is atop their head versus color leading the eye to the headwear and isolating the two into separate elements.
