I find it quite difficult to view unless one could hold it to better see through the polished surface and reflection. Aficionados, of course would enjoy any popularization of the plate alone. The general public, not so much in my opinion
Yes it is a bit of an aficionado-purist thing. I was amazed when I saw a daguerreotype for the first time that you have to look at them directly. You can’t view them from the side. Feels like being let into a secret.

I live this set of photographs. I imagine each time you go out there is something different that will surprise you. Beautiful work.
